They are doing Checkpoints here also. I got caught in one on Friday. It looked exactly like the one you were in, with the floodlights, vans, police, etc. We were passed through by simply showing our ID also. I saw a sign that said DUI Checkpoint but they did not check anyone. We just showed our ID and drove through.
